My name is Cindy and I’ve worked in theatre my whole life. I was born and raised in Davenport, IA. When I was in 6th grade, my mom told me I had a big mouth and should be on stage. So I tried out for the first show I could and was hooked!
After college, I toured all the cold states as an educational children’s theatre actor. Following a short stint directing in upstate NY, I moved to NYC to pursue my dream of directing. There, I worked in all aspects of theatre and fell in love with producing. After a couple summers in Central PA running a summer stock theatre, I moved back to Iowa. In 2010, my husband and I founded a nonprofit 501(c)(3) theatre in Winterset called The Winterset Stage to bring people together through the arts.
Life and work took our family all around IA and back out to Central PA before family brought us back to West Des Moines in 2020. When I began directing the 6th Grade Play at Waukee’s South Middle School in 2023, I saw how much good the positive character development tools and training theatre provided for students. Seeking how to offer more quality theatre opportunities for youth, All Good Things Theatre was born! Because when done well, I believe theatre has the power to instill all good traits and bring people together.
